Yesterday was so fun! Thank-you Tony and Margo for hosting the after party. I was a little nervous about the Pats game, but when the game started, I realized it wasn't as important, or as fun as catching up with everyone. I got home in plenty of time to get into my seat and make sure we won.
Some points from yesterday- I've always heard about what a nice guy Derek is, and yesterday, I saw that its 100% true. Tony- thanks for waiting for me on the run! Congrats to Greg on Pumpkinman!!!!! Ladies-we might need to start wearing glasses if we to do this again, or maybe the boys could wear different colors so we can tell them apart. Alex-you get the guts trophy!! Love it! Also, Alex and Julie were way more "meh" than Pat and I. Still chuckling over who ever gets to trans 2 first will run.
It's not about who wins. I mean, I think Pat and I won for Infinitri, but I'm not sure, and I don't care, but I think we did win, but if we did, and it doesn't matter if we did win, it was just about showing up and having fun, and if in the meantime we did win, and I think we did, than oh well. I mean, it doesn't really matter...that much...that we may or may not have won, and I think, I mean I know we did win. We won...
We should do something again soon!!

I agree with you Marg. It doesn't matter that I beat Bobby, I think I did, and he knows it too which is what matters, that, I did beat him for sure. Is there a picture of the finish with you and Bobby? Haven't checked yet. It clearly shows I beat him.

Highlights of the day:
1. Margaret finding Derek wandering in the high school parking lot at 7:55 with a helmet and wetsuit on, wondering how he was going to get to Farm Pond in 5 minutes for the race start. 2. Kim running to transition to find no Jim…he and Alex are down at the pond watching the race. 3. Running by the water station on Grandhill and having the girls tell me I am "second female." 4. Rounding a bend on Grandhill and seeing Tony walking, waiting for his teammates to catch up. Running about a mile with #1. 5. Seeing Tony run out of the woods after hiding so Bobby could pass him. 6. Four Infinitri members running (briefly) together (Bobby, Tony, Margaret and myself). 7. Watching the competitiveness of all of us, despite the fact that only Greg is training and in shape. 8. Coming in 2nd place on the team. First losers.

So glad we all decided to do this. Great idea you guys had making up teams within a team. Wow, I had no idea #5 happened, Tony you really hid in the woods? Anyhoot, I'm so glad I finally got the chance to do this race. As you know one of my fav races is RTB, which always conflicted with DS Tri (well, Mark did prove that wrong...anyways) happy to experience this course with everyone. Good to see everyone:)

I had so much fun yesterday , thank you for taking the time to organize it Mags , ( good luck on getting that $75 now ) It was great to see my countryman before the race, it's been a while . It was great to actually make land after swimming, it was surprising but delicious to pass Mark in transition . ( He will never live it down ) For me personally , it was pretty special on the bike , I got to see many on the team , some going by and some as I went by . I wasn't sure if I could make it to Tony and Margot's after ( thank you for hosting btw ) but I am so so glad that I did . It was a real treat to catch up and interact with all the kids, Logan, William, James, Emma, Olivia , man do I feel old . On a side note , I was so impressed by Linda Walter for standing in for her sleeping daughter . She is always such a good sport , she's like the female equivalent to Jim Carey's character in the "yes Man " .
