Boston Tri was fun, but I'm favoring Sharon next weekend. Anybody else?

I'd race Sharon but she could probably beat me right now.

Hmmm... we're going to a party on Saturday, but might be up for winging it on Sunday.

This hasn't been a good week, so I'm not going to race this weekend.

Perfect day for racing. Sharon had just under 500 racers. My achilles was feeling pretty good all week and I debated with myself about attempting the run. Uphills and downhills really hurt it but Sharon is flat. The swim was easy but my time was disappointing. The guy who beat me swam in 12' while I finished in 15'. I beat him easily on the bike and run and the transitions were similar. The highlight of the day was my bike split. I had the 10th overall bike split. My computer showed a 23.2 avg mph and 244 watts. I had riders on my wheel the whole way. I dropped all of them with a couple of miles to go. My achilles swelled up last night so I'll be limping around for a couple of days. Hopefully I can ride Tuesday.

Good job! It's all about the bike anyway, as my favorite cyclist/triathlete would say. I think it's time they let him back in but he should get a 15' handicap in every race.
