Guess I shouldn't have assumed the start @ the main parking lot/ entrance.

Hey Jim, did you go today? We're actually meeting tomorrow. I even put the date in the subject line :-) See you tomorrow at Borderland.

Guess I should start wearing my glasses. Ran about 6 today so I'm out for tomorrow.

Did that a few years ago for a race. It was the Hudson off road duathlon. Drove all the way there on Saturday, then again on Sunday.

I'm going to be the first one to bail. There's a 90% chance of rain at 10am. Between that and the ice/snow from last night, I'm too worried about rolling an ankle in the woods, never mind just taking a spill. My logical side says to play it safe and hit the treadmill. My feminine side wants to keep my running shoes clean for race day.

My child side can't wait to go play outside.

I'm going to be the second to bail. I'm now dealing with a head cold and running in the rain wouldn't help.

Well, the weatherman messed up royally. It was supposed to be in the 40s and all melted. When I left the house at 9:30, it was only 34 degrees. I'm still hoping all this crap goes away before it freezes.
I'll post about next week's run soon. It will be Saturday (so we have Sunday as a back up if needed), after swim practice, starting at Houghton's Pond parking lot (just off I 93, last exit before Rt 24 if coming from Dedham) so easy access from all directions.)

12 miles on the treadmill DONE. And as boring as that sounds, I was warm and relatively dry.

I ran threw the slush/ snow for an hour and a half. My feet were cold and wet the entire time, but it was fun! I need to figure out a way to do the treadmill. I just hate every second of it.

Mostly, I cue up good tunes on my phone and try to run to the beat. In our basement (which is cold, dark, disorganized, etc.), I either plot/visualize what it'll look like when we finish it one day or make mental note of all the things down there I plan to sell/donate. I also hung a bunch of word searches, trivia, and sudoku puzzles from the ceiling beam.

It takes commitment for sure. My goal this week is to try and stay on it for 30 minutes.
